Request Data Deletion
Catch The Light stores only minimal data tied to your in-game display name and an anonymous user identifier. You may request that your data be deleted at any time.
What Gets Deleted
- Your leaderboard entry across all game modes (Arcade, Speed Run, Blitz), including your display name and scores.
- Your anonymous user identifier in our leaderboard records.
Aggregated, de-identified diagnostic data collected by Google Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase cannot be tied back to an individual and is retained per Google’s default retention policy.
How to Request Deletion
Send an email to the address below from any email account, including:
- The display name you used in the game (so we can find your entry).
- The approximate date you last played (helps narrow it down if multiple players share a name).
- A short subject line such as “Catch The Light data deletion request”.
Response Time
We process deletion requests within 30 days of receipt and send a confirmation email when the entry has been removed. There is no cost or other obligation associated with a deletion request.
Note on Anonymous Identifiers
Because Catch The Light does not collect any personal information beyond the display name you choose, we cannot independently verify your identity. Including your display name (and approximate last-played date) is the only way we can locate the correct record to delete.
