Privacy Policy for Stackfall
This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile game Stackfall (“the App”), operated by Abrar Amin (“we”, “us”), handles information collected through use of the App.
Information We Collect
When you play Stackfall, the following data may be collected:
- Display name — a name (up to 18 characters) that you choose and enter on first launch. Used to identify you on the leaderboard.
- Anonymous user identifier — a randomly generated ID assigned by Google Firebase Authentication when you first open the App. It is not linked to your real identity unless you choose to link an account (see below).
- Email address and password — only if you choose to use Settings → Account to save your progress and recover it on another device. This is optional; the App is fully playable without ever providing an email. Passwords are handled entirely by Google Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your password ourselves.
- Game scores — every game you complete is logged to the Classic or Time Attack leaderboard together with your display name, anonymous ID, and the date, so the leaderboard can rank all players.
- In-game profile data — your Shards balance and the block/board skins you’ve unlocked or equipped, stored against your account so they can be restored if you sign in on a new device.
- Ad interaction data — if you choose to watch a rewarded video ad for bonus Shards, Google’s AdMob SDK serves that ad and collects data (such as your advertising identifier and ad interaction events) under its own privacy terms — see Google’s Privacy Policy. Watching ads is always optional and only triggered by your own tap.
We do not collect your real name, phone number, contacts, photos, location, or payment information, and we never require an email address to play.
How We Use the Information
- To display your scores and name on the public Classic and Time Attack leaderboards.
- To let you sign back into your account and restore your Shards, skins, and display name on a new device.
- To grant Shards after you choose to watch a rewarded ad.
How the Information Is Stored and Shared
- Display name and scores are stored in Google Firebase Firestore and are publicly readable by other players (the entire point of a leaderboard). Leaderboard entries cannot be edited after they are created, only deleted by their owner.
- Shards balance, owned/equipped skins, and any linked email are stored in a private profile record readable and writable only by your own account — never shown to other players.
- Authentication (anonymous ID, and email/password if you link one) is managed by Google Firebase Authentication.
- Rewarded ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect data under its own policies as described above.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third party for advertising or marketing beyond what is required to serve the rewarded ads described above.
Data Retention
- Leaderboard entries, profile data, and any linked account remain stored until you delete your account.
- Ad interaction data is retained per Google AdMob’s own retention policies.
Your Rights — Deleting Your Data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (leaderboard entries, profile, Shards, skins, and any linked email) at any time, directly in the App: open Settings → Account → Delete Account. This takes effect immediately.
If you can no longer access the App, see our Data Deletion page for how to request deletion by email instead.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
